Christina Kaputsos, is an award-winning Creative Director, Illustrator, and Product & Experience Strategist from Weston, Massachusetts. She holds a BFA in Illustration from the Maryland Institute College of Art and is certified in UX by the Norman Nielsen Group and in Design Thinking by Cornell University.
She specializes in crafting inspiring multimodal experiences for all ages, fostering self-discovery and understanding of the world. With a sixteen year track record, she has successfully built brands, products, apps, and marketing campaigns across diverse industries, including EdTech, Toy & Game, Children's Publishing, Government, Food Tech, Startup, New Media, Corporate, Non-profit & Lifestyle.
Christina is the Founder and Head of Creative & Experience for PLAYSTRUCK, a multimodal design studio connecting the dots between creativity, technology, and learning, building playful and transformative experiences for kids and those young at heart. She consults with private clients, leveraging her expertise in creative direction, illustration, product design, brand development, and experience design.
Her past roles include Design Manager at BEGiN, Creative Director positions at Capital One and 1st American Systems & Services, as well as a Design Lead role for an international brain assessment company. Her work has been showcased in prominent venues like Times Square, YouTube, and the National Mall in Washington DC. She's also been an art/design educator, curriculum developer, and international mentor for startups.
Driven by her passions for blending creative with interactive and innovative technologies, Christina's skills encompass creative strategy, multimedia, brand identity, illustration, paper craft, toy/game design, stop-motion animation, CX and UX. She's launched three successful ventures, including The Doodle Challenge (TDC), a game suite that reduces stress, burnout, disconnect while boosting creativity and problem solving in children and adults. TDC earned the Parent & Teacher Choice Award in 2019. Leading both local and remote teams, she's guided designers, illustrators, writers, researchers, and developers.
Passionate about STEAM education and children's content, Christina's community contributions have been recognized by the Obama Administration with the Presidential Volunteer Service Award, reflecting her dedication to children's arts education. She currently resides in Rochester, New York.
