Tyto Kids mission is to educate children about cultures around the world and in their own backyard. For the Halloween season, an online experience was developed. A multi-level experience that late elementary school children can go through to learn about the differences and similarities between three spooky holidays found around the world was created. Users would go through three unique stories to learn about Japan Obon, American Halloween and Mexico's Day of the Dead. To promote the game on Halloween, postcards with a piece of candy and the entry code to the game were the trick or treat prize in participating households in three states. It is the only game online that allows users to build a Japanese Obon Shrine.
